Bookkeepers are better in this Covid 19 pandemic because they can monitor the day to day economic situation of companies and it is important for them to record all the details correctly and efficiently of the transactions that the company have, if it is gaining or not, so that the management will take action and solve this problem.
Hi Christine! Thank you for your comment. Bookkeepers are truly important even in the pre-COVID 19 days. And thanks to Dr. Yzah Rubaya and her team bookkeepers can be much better than before!
Bookkeepers because they are the one who is recording the transactions and it is very important to monitor.
I think both have their own functions and are relevant to the business but the one that is workable and both positions are also given opportunities. But mostly who have a high percentage of opportunities are the bookkeepers whether pre-pandemic, pandemic, and hopefully this pandemic will stop this year 2021 with the help of God.
I think Book Keeper is better than Accountant during this time of Pandemic, because they know exactly the situation in the company. The Income and the loss etc.. and Accountant will depend on the records from the Book Keeper, although Accountant also have an important function.
Thank you so Much!
While both are important in the business, bookkeepers are more important because they monitor the daily transactions of the business.
During this critical situation, I think it is the Bookkeepers who are more relevant since it is the day-to-day activities that they need to record, account, balance, and monitor. The Accountants will just rely on the end results, which is the financial statements.
Bookkeepers because they are the one who records and monitor the daily transaction of the business.
Both positions are important since bookkeepers and accountants come hand in hand. Bookkeepers are assigned for the recording and monitoring of daily transactions and Accountants consolidates and analyzes the reports given by the bookkeepers.
A bookkeeper, as what I’ve remembered that bookkeepers are responsible for the safekeeping and recording of day-to-day business transactions which accountants must rely on. Perhaps that’s the reason why being an accountant you must also collaborate with the company’s bookkeeper which helps you to have a reliable source of detailed information, and for better presentation.
With the rise of Covid 19, bookkeepers are more likely better. This is because bookkeepers are more familiar with a company’s daily operations, which makes it simpler for them to adapt to the changes brought on by the pandemic.
Bookkeepers are much better during this Covid-19 pandemic as they are assigned to record daily transactions of a business— in which Accountants are depending on in making financial statements.
As for me, bookkeepers are better to be in this Covid 19 pandemic because they are the ones who do the daily basis in a company, they do the monitoring balance and transactions of day to day while the accountant only analyzes or identifies given transactions.
I think the answer is both. It is clear that the coronavirus pandemic is significantly impact the business world. Much of this impact has been dire: major revenue losses, store closings, layoffs and bankruptcies. Some companies, however, have surged, increasing production or launching new products to meet changing consumer demand, adding staff and expanding their footprints. Up or down, a lot has changed. It is an opportunity for the accountants and bookkeepers. Trusted guardian/s of a company’s finances, as well as processes and systems to manage those finances, accountants and bookkeepers have always been important. Now, they’re even more critical. Many things have shifted due to the global pandemic, and with them comes the opportunity to rebuild better. By working with a trustworthy, knowledgeable bookkeeping expert, your company may find a unique, novel way of pivoting to something more flexible, that offers your team a degree of independence and can even save you money in the long run.

Accountants help companies make the most of limited resources. As they manage, adjust and, eventually, resurface from the pandemic, most companies will need to be smart with their finances. Accountants and corporate finance professionals will help increase efficiency by comparing pricing scenarios, evaluating investment opportunities and looking for new ways to reduce operating expenses.
During the height of this COVID19 pandemic, I think the services of bookkeepers would be more essential and higher in demand, since even businesses who aren’t doing well, cannot operate during the period of strict lockdowns, or even those who have to close down/file from bankruptcy still need to keep detailed and accurate records of their financial transactions in order to fulfill their obligations to both their internal and external stakeholders. That said, now that we are gradually emerging from this pandemic into a “new normal,” bookkeepers still play important roles l but I think there would be a greater demand for the more specialized services of accountants. Although bookkeepers are the ones more familiar with the day-to-day operations of a business, accountants are the ones who are trained to interpret and see “the big picture” with regard to how a business performs in comparison with past years and make projections as to future growth, as well as how it performs in comparison with their competitors in the same sector. Therefore, business owners seek out the expertise of accountants for longer term strategic planning to help them overcome the disruptions in their market that have occurred post-pandemic and to revise and develop new plans for them to create sustainable value for their investors, clients, employees, etc.
I think the Bookeeper, it is because they are the one who prepares and understand the daily transactions.
During the pandemic and even after the pandemic, I would consider that the needs of the company and it’s economic context would dictate whether it would require either a bookkeeper or an accountant. However, I think both are professions that play an essential role in business and legal operations for any organizations. That being said, given the introduction that Dr. Velissa had provided on the work possibilities for bookkeepers, I think that may be more work opportunities for bookkeeping.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s better to be a bookkeeper. Because they are the ones who accountants rely on the most. as they are in charge of keeping records and monitoring the company’s day-to-day business transactions.
My answer is both. They are necessary in terms of sustaining the business’ growth even in pandemic time.
In my opinion, even during the pandemic, both are essential in the business. Although, bookkeepers are more in demand in remote settings.
Bookkeepers and accountants both have the same important spot or role in businesses. Sometimes they do the same work but have a different skill set and work descriptions. Generally, in my own opinion bookkeepers have the most significant role during pandemic. They tend to record transactions and keep the business financially organized while accountants provide consultation, anaylsis and advise on tax matters. So if the BIR wanted the books of accounts to be audited by an accountant so how will an accountant work if there’s no record of all the transactions and if the business is not financially organize.
Therefore I conclude that bookkeepers should be a part or one of the most important personnel in the midst of pandemic.
Given the close relationship between bookkeepers and accountants, both roles are crucial. Bookkeepers are tasked with keeping track of and recording everyday transactions, while accountants compile and evaluate the bookkeepers’ reports.
In my opinion, Bookkeepers are better to be in Covid19 Pandemic because bookkeepers usually know the day-to-day details of businesses, like in pandemic era, its very important to monitor and records the details, for example the person who got positive in Covid1; his/her travel history, so that everyone would be aware and know to solve certain problems.
